Akhela is able to provide complete solutions to a wide range of activities for the automotive industry, including embedded real time Life Critical systems, Infotainment applications, HMI and FPGA design/development. Our solutions are based on the most widespread embedded operating systems (WinCE, Linux, VxWorks, Osek AutosarOS) and on Design Assurance Levels best practices (timing simulation and verification of functional design, requirements capture, system integration, formal verification including design of automatic bench test).
During the last years the Akhela Embedded area has focused its activities towards the automotive industry, addressing its products and services to car manufacturers suppliers (Tier1).
Main areas of activity:
- Multimedia, Telematics and Infotainment on commercial and Open Source operating systems.
- HMI.
- Networking (CAN, LIN, MOST, Flexray).
- Implementation of diagnostic systems (UDS, J1939, KWP2000, CCP) at client and server level, with implementation of proprietary and standard protocols, and/or integration of third-party modules (Vector, Mentor Graphics).
- Proprietary implementation of operating systems compliant with standard OSEK (BCC1 on ST10, BCC2 on Freescale MPC55xx/56xx).
- Powertrain control systems (petrol, CNG, LPG, diesel, electric hybrid).
- Fulfilment of mathematical and control algorithms in the Model Based Design environment with automatic code generation (RTW, TargetLink) and/or optimization of code generated by automated tools.
- Software for air conditioning systems, body computer, airbag modules, power roof, TPMS, power windows, seat belt reminder, RFID systems for keyless entry and registration services for advanced car sharing.
- Infotainment validation systems and body (trucks), including input/output signal control generator, using commercial products for simulation CAN (CANoE, script CAPL).
- Autosar projects (ICC1 system, RFID component on MCAL, virtual MOST system in Infotainment environment).
Finally, thanks to the cooperation with some companies of this industry, we are able to offer complete turn key projects for the supply of hardware and software (both prototyping and production of medium entity).
